And from Mexico as well. Let’s do a brief bit of what we might have heard on XERA, a 500,000 Vatio Voz de Del Rio, with the Jarabe Tapitio, better known as the Mexican Hat Dance:

And go from there to a bit of eye candy – which still sounds very much like the very early morning broadcasts for Mexican consumption, with Cielito Lindo:

And of course, Lupe Velez was one of RKO’s hottest properties – and here again is another song from the era:

And, while this recording comes from the 1990’s it sounds quite authentic:

It almost makes me want to tear down a few concession tents!
