The Senate Has Voted To Repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”

And that essentially puts the military back to the point it was for all but 17 years of American history. Homosexual’s, gays if you prefer, can enlist and serve. What they do off base and off duty is their business. But what they do on base, on duty, or on patrol is very much the military’s business. So we are back to 1950, and I do not expect that to change at any time in the near future.

Despite the overjoyed screams of the Dimocrats and the rather muted response from everyone else. Including a large part of the LGBT community itself. On balance, I seriously doubt the Dims gained even one brownie point out of the repeal, but they have further offended a lot of the electorate.
