Global Warming? Not With Snow In Namibia

Namibia is an African country, at 23 degrees or so south latitude. That is about 750 miles or so closer to the equator than New Orleans. And yet despite its location just a few degrees south of the Tropical Zone, it snowed in Namibia on June 9, 2011.

This picture accompanied the Namibian story linked above. You might as well expect icicles in Havana as Namibia, but there they are!

And the southern hemisphere’s winter has not yet begun.
